VIDEO AVAILABLE Occupying a beautiful countryside setting, this stunning four-bedroom steading conversion looks on to lush fields and has wonderful open views of the Campsie Fells. This immaculate home is part of an exclusive U-shaped development of just eight homes formed around a central courtyard with feature sculptures and paths. Completed in 2018, this home offers the successful purchaser a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle, yet Glasgow City Centre with all the richness of city life is only approximately 11 miles away.
Entering the property from the garden, the viewer will immediately be impressed with the stunning lounge and open plan dining area which are ideally positioned to fully enjoy the fabulous views towards the Campsie Fells. There are two sets of French doors which maximise natural light and the view into the garden and beyond. The wood-burning stove in the living area provides a real sense that this is the very heart of this fabulous home. The kitchen area has an expansive island with an exquisite quartz counter which complements the counters in the main kitchen area. There is an integrated 5-ring gas hob with an overhead extractor fan with lighting; underneath the island is extensive cupboard space. The kitchen area itself has been carefully designed and there is a lovely open aspect looking out from the sink to the fields beyond. Quaker style cupboards blend with the high-quality integrated appliances which include a double oven with grill, microwave, dishwasher, and large American-style fridge/freezer. There is plenty of room for a washing machine and tumble drier in the utility room, which is off the front vestibule. In the hall which leads to the remaining apartments there is a walk-in cupboard. Completing the ground floor is the fourth bedroom with an en suite shower room which can also be accessed from the front vestibule, if required. The stairway to the upper floor has a window and a skylight, in order to make the most of the natural light. The master bedroom looks on to the field opposite and has plenty of space for a seating area. This spacious bedroom benefits from an en suite shower room. The second double bedroom has double windows looking on to the hillside and the third single bedroom, which is currently used as a home office, also has a double window and looks on to the hillside. There is a good sized walk-in storage cupboard and completing the upper floor is the family bathroom with a separate shower and a skylight above the bathtub. There is double glazing throughout the property and the entire ground floor has under-floor heating, which can be remotely adjusted through a mobile phone app or manually controlled from a thermostat in each room.
The fully enclosed garden wraps round two sides of the property and enjoys the afternoon and evening sun. There are two private parking spaces and plenty of visitors parking in the development itself.

What the owner says:
“We have loved living in Lochmill Steadings, where I never failed to be awed by the splendour of the Campsie Fells in full view from our living room, or from my office upstairs. We (and the dogs!) have enjoyed many a great walk in the surrounding hills and along the Clyde canal. There is still so much of Scotland to explore, but unfortunately my work has pulled me in another direction and we have to head south. One of the nicest things about living here has been having such fantastic neighbours, and the overall sense of community of the steadings. I can only hope that our new home will be as peaceful and as beautiful as this! I am confident that the new owners will enjoy being here as much as we have.”
